Emulsifiers for the formulation of emulsions and dispersions

Nonionic emulsifiers: Emulan® types
The Emulan® emulsifiers are high-performance emulsifiers, especially suitable for the preparation of oil-in-water emulsions and dispersions of solids. They thus form the basis for a series of products for impregnation, lubrication, cleaning and care as well as for the protection of surfaces. Futhermore, mixtures of Emulan® grades often improve the stabilization of emulsions.

Emulsifiers for emulsion polymerisation processes

Ionic emulsifiers: Emulphor® types
The Emulphor® emulsifiers are high-molecular-weigth ether sulphates which are preferentially used in the emulsion polymerization of acrylate and methacrylate esters, styrene and vinyl esters. They can be used in homopolymerization as well as in copolymerization of these monomers. These anionic emulsifiers are also combined with nonionic Emulan® grades in order to achieve the desired properties such as particle size or emulsion stability. Emulphor® FAS 30 is employed as an alkylphenolethoxylate-free ether sulphate.
